Prejudice Center Director

Posted by tlon86 on 9/23/2009

I would not send my child here. The Center Director is caucasian and I felt she was prejudice. I came for a job interview and wanted to walk into a warm and friendly environment since these women work with children, and it was not that at all. I am a senior attending a university and was overly qualified and she made references saying that I did not know certain terms and was talking down on me. I have 50 ECE units and one of the head teachers only had 18 ECE units. And this head teacher was full-time. I was looking for a part-time position that could help my future career and hopefully turn it into a full-time position. But I feel it was because I am a African American women she did not want me to take hers or any of her friends/coworkers positions. I am extremely dissapointed that tutor time hires people like this and should be ashamed of themselve and this company. If this is how they treat me, what about the African American, Mexican American, Asian American, or any other ethnicity children at tutor time? Overall, I am upset and I would not recommend anyone to send their children here. Find another place like Kindercare or another surrounding child care center. Dont' waste your money.

I went to check out the playground and I found rabbit droppings out on the playground and the children sit out on the grass and play out on the play equipment after there has been rabbits out there early in the morning.

I just could not bear the thought of horrifying experiences at this daycare. Staff is not fit to do anything with kids.

Do not enroll your child here

Being a Pre-Kindergarten teacher at the yorba linda tutor time on los angeles street, i could state a few of the problems the "learning center" has. 1. teachers are treated badly from the owner (if teachers are happy, then the children are happy, and so on) 2. Always understaffed. (there was one time when i was with 19 children on splash day all by myself and numerous occasions when i was over the legal ratio 12:1. 3. the owner is cheap (she wouldn't get supplies, wouldn't let anyone use the copier) 4. the kids eat junk food all day (even the snacks and lunches provided are unhealthy) 5. children drink water out of the faucet! NEED I SAY MORE...
